A PERSON was taken to hospital following a crash in Runcorn yesterday afternoon, Wednesday.

Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene of the road-traffic collision on the Daresbury Expressway shortly after 3.45pm.

Thankfully, nobody was trapped inside the two vehicles involved and no serious injuries were caused.

One person was however taken to hospital as a precaution.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 3.47pm on Wednesday, November 17, police and fire crews attended a collision on the Daresbury Expressway in Runcorn.

“There were no persons trapped and no serious injuries, however one person was taken to hospital as a precaution.”

Posting on social media, Runcorn Fire Station added: “Blue watch were out delivering road safety information yesterday when they were called to a road traffic collision involving two vehicles.

“Luckily, all involved were safe and North West Ambulance Service and Runcorn Police were on scene to assist.”
