A 13-YEAR-OLD boy was taken to hospital after a crash on the M56 yesterday evening, Friday.
Three fire engines were called to junction 12 on the eastbound carriageway, near Runcorn, at around 7.45pm after a saloon car had rolled onto lanes one and two, with the vehicle left smoking.
The occupants had managed to get out of the car.

The fire engines were used to fend traffic off onto the shoulder.
A 13-year-old boy was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital as a precautionary check for a possible neck injury.
