EVERYWHERE you look in supermarkets across Runcorn and Widnes, you are bombarded with Easter eggs.
I know it is traditional to eat chocolate at this celebration, but in an area where child obesity is so high, this is very irresponsible behaviour.
We should be encouraging our young people to eat more fresh fruit and vegetables, not gorge on sugarfuelled sweets and confectionery.
Stores are simply competing to see who can sell the most by drastically slashing the prices.
I saw one store selling Easter eggs at just £3 for three. Full marks to Asda which currently has the cheapest legs of fresh lamb and freshly baked hot cross buns.
