RUNCORN Town progressed through to the second round of the Cheshire Amateur Cup on Saturday after a 4-0 victory at Cheshire League Two leaders Lostock Gralam.

Runcorn Town Reserves returned to the top of West Cheshire League Three after a 2-2 draw at home to Richmond Raith Rovers Jacobs

Town started the game brightly but fell behind to Richmond's first shot on target in the 12th minute of the game. A free kick from the left hand side of the pitch was flicked goalwards by John Starkey, with the ball looping in the top right hand corner with midfielder Rob Darlington on the post helpless to stop it.
