Bridge gained revenge for the cup defeat Reo's inflicted on them a couple of weeks previous with a dominant display to maintain there hopes of regaining the Runcorn Sunday League premier division title.

Jamie Cumppers through ball to Steven Appleton saw Reos keeper make a good save in the 5th minute and 4 minutes later. Ste Coady won the ball in the middle of the park, and advanced forward, he was tackled 25 yards out but somehow managed to back heel the ball forward to Andy Gott who just managed to poke the ball home past the keep for 1-0.

Gott could have doubled Timbers lead when clean through but the Reos keeper again saved well. 36 minutes in, Jamie Cumpper showed his range of passing, putting Andy Gott clean through with a 25 yard pass, Gott then looked up and crossed for Liam Sweeney to slide in and his vicious strike found the roof of the net for 2-0.

Ste Appleton brought another good save from the Reos keeper after Lee Evans and Neil Larkin's clever play gave him the space, Reos then had a decent shot just wide just before the half time whistle but Timber went in at half time 2-0 up.

Karl Jenkins had a good shot just over after a corner and Lewis Watson linked up well with Peter murphy before finding Appleton, his pass to Andy Gott was sublime, Gott then playing it wide to Liam Sweeney and with the keeper closing him down, Sweeney squared the ball to Neil Larkin, his first touch put in in front of goal and he side footed home for 3-0.

Lewis Watson had a decent shot in the 75 minute and with the introduction of Ste Hickson, his cross to the back post to Ste Appleton nearly made it 4 with a ferocious volley only for it to fly just wide. Neil Larkin's mazy run in the 86th minute really deserved to be capped off with a goal but a last ditch tackle and clearance give the ball back, Ste Coady then tried to set his sights, and with the ball stuck under his feet, he back heeled to Ste Hickson who found the bottom corner to give Bridge a 4 goal lead. Reo's never gave up and pulled a goal back in the final minute which was tapped home at the back post to make the final score 4-1.

Neil Larkin was Bridge Timbers man of the match with an inspirational performance in centre midfield.
