THE traffic in Widnes is getting worse every day with all the Mersey Gateway roadworks.
I’ve never seen so many tailbacks clogging up the entire town centre, Kingsway, Milton Road and Moor Lane.
It is a nightmare.
No matter what way you try to drive to avoid the queues you get delayed.
I realise there is a lot of work to be done to build the new bridge but some thought should be given to residents.
I have to make huge detours every day to get around all the closures.
Then, just when I get a route sorted out, it all changes.
In Runcorn, it is even worse with all the cones and diversions.
Everyone is dreading the sevenmonth closure of the expressways.
Just think, we’ve got another two years of this mayhem before the new bridge opens.
