The mother of the comedy stage, Pauline Daniels will be stepping back into the slippers of Shirley Valentine, as Pauline celebrates 21 years of playing the housewife that all women can relate to. We have teamed up with St Helens Theatre Royal to promote their competition to give two lucky readers the chance to win a pair of tickets to the show on Thursday 13th September.

In a world of kitchens, cooking and faded dreams Shirley is living a regretful existence, but when best friend Jane offers her a two week holiday in Greece, she struggles to make a life-changing decision. Should she pack her bags and head for a life of sun, sea and taramasalata or continue to endure the slog of her humdrum life?

Since its premier in 1986, Shirley Valentine has become a theatrical institution and a much loved mainstay in playhouses across the globe. For Pauline's 21st anniversary, Willy Russell has given Pauline special permission to take the production to the stage and bring this Liverpudlian legend back home to Merseyside this September. The only UK dates in 2012!
