How do you like your porridge? The adaptations on this simple recipe are almost endless, but connoisseurs often opt for oatmeal rather than rolled oats - which is simply the oats before they’ve been rolled into flakes. Available in coarse, medium or fine textures, Mornflake oatmeal is 100% wholegrain, so it’s a healthy choice too.

Yet there’s more to oatmeal than porridge – it can be used in all manner of sweet and savoury dishes, from delicious cakes to something as exotic as Black Bean Porridge Patties! Enter Mornflake’s Quest for Best challenge and your creative oatmeal recipe could be cooked at the 19th annual World Porridge Making Championships in October. If your recipe is chosen you’ll also receive a VIP trip to London for the Taste of London Festival in June. Submit your recipe at http://www.mornflake.com/whats-on/quest-for-best.aspx . Entries close on Friday 14th September.

In the meantime, we have teamed up with Mornflake to promote this competition they are offering to win a fantastic Mornflake Oatmeal hamper to help you develop a show-stopping recipe, and £50 of shopping vouchers.
