Cholmondeley Castle’s Annual Fireworks Concert is set for a spectacular return this summer on Saturday 16th June. The evening will feature music from The Manchester Camerata Orchestra accompanied by the Mossley Brass Band. We have teamed up with the organisers of the event to promote their competition to give three lucky readers the chance to win a family ticket to the concert.

This year is set to be a special celebration of the Queen’s Jubilee and will feature music associated with the Coronation including the Coronation March from William Walton’s Crown Imperial. The festivity will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 007 films with some of the best music from Live & Let Die, Diamonds are Forever and Goldfinger, James Bond himself may also make an appearance.

The high point of the evening is the magnificent fireworks spectacular. This unforgettable pyrotechnic display accompanied by the traditional Last Night of the Proms style music is the glorious culmination of a wonderful event. Fireworks and music come together to create a stunning climax, the memory of which will linger for a long time after the concert has finished.

The breathtaking beauty of the Castle, set in picturesque grounds, provide the ideal backdrop to this unmissable event. Visitors are advised to bring along chairs, rugs and a picnic to enjoy on the Castle lawn.

This year the Concert will also raise money for Remount, a charity which mentors those leaving the armed forces. Remount devises specially designed courses which offer physical challenges and emotional support to aid the transition to civilian life.
