WITH reference to an article in the Runcorn and Widnes World on August 11 entitled ’Over 50s take a trip down memory lane’.
I am writing on behalf of our group. We would like to thank you for a great article, however, it appears that many key people, who helped organise and run the tea party were not included.
The forum received substantial funding from Halton Borough Council Area Forum Panel and Halton Borough Council inter-generational funding. It was part of our funding agreement that they be publicly recognised. Others that need a notable mention are West Bank Community Forum, McDonalds, Morrisons, Christine Hunter, Michell Percival, Clr Pamela Wallace, Chris Cleminson, Margaret Ditchfield, Jean Jacks and Derek Burgess.
JULIE BAKER, chairman West Bank Community Forum Widnes
