ALTHOUGH I agree with Martin Knox’s letter in last week’s World saying the north should have the chance of self rule, I do not know why he thinks that 98 per cent of the country voted to leave the EU.

The actual split of the Brexit referendum was 52 per cent leave and 48 per cent remain.

When you take into account the large number of people who didn’t bother to vote, the actual percentage voting to leave was only about 38 per cent.
