An interesting game looks in prospect on Saturday, when Widnes travel to face Anselmians at Malone Field in round four of North One West.
After their great start to the season and their outstanding effort at Sale last weekend, Widnes should go into the game as favourites against an Anselmians side who have struggled thus far with three successive defeats including a hammering at home by the South Manchester side the previous week.
However, Widnes Coach Lee McDermott will not be taking anything for granted and knows full well the potential danger that awaits them if they aren’t fully switched on. “We have had some tough encounters against Anselmians in recent years, and we are expecting nothing less than another difficult game this weekend” he commented.
