IF you've had a busy week, you might not have noticed some of the signing news across Super League this week.

So here's a quick catch-up for you, with the news in brief.

- Leeds Rhinos have agreed a deal to sign Fiji forward King Vuniyayawa.

The 25-year-old arrives on a one-year contract from NRL side New Zealand Warriors and replaces Ava Seumanufagai, who was released last month for personal reasons.

- Leigh Centurions have appointed former Great Britain forward Garreth Carvell as their head of rugby ahead of their return to Super League.

Carvell, 40, will quit his full-time job with the Rugby League Players Association to take up the newly-created role, working alongside operations manager Neil Jukes and head coach John Duffy at the promoted Championship club.

- England head coach Shaun Wane has added former St Helens and Great Britain winger Ade Gardner to his backroom team ahead of an anticipated mid-season clash with the Exiles.

Wane also confirmed the addition of Warrington’s strength and conditioning coach Chris Baron and Mark Bitcon, who was Wigan’s director of performance during his time with the Warriors

- Salford forwards Josh Johnson and Ryan Lannon have signed two-year contract extensions with the Red Devils.

Johnson and Lannon, who both started their youth careers at Salford and rejoined the club from Hull KR during the 2019 season, were already under contract for 2021 but have now been secured until the end of 2023.

- Castleford are to give a month’s trial to soldier and former Harlequins Rugby Union scrum-half Lloyd Wheeldon.

The 24-year-old lance corporal in 3 Para has been granted a temporary release from active service to try his luck in Super League after speaking to former Great Britain half-back Sean Long during his spell with Quins.
