MIKE Collins has featured in the top three twice in recent Newton-le-Willows Anglers Association matches.

The Newton fisherman was second to Haydock's Lee Cooper in the Tuesday evening members' sweep on Oak Pool at White Door Dam, and third behind Haydock's Phil Barton and St Helens' Jimmy Corkish at the same venue in the Disabled and Over 60s members' weekly match.

In each of those matches peg 34 proved to be the winning bank location despite Collins getting in on the carp and skimmers action.
