MATTY Ashton looks set for a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
The speedster, who had earlier scored his first Super League try in The Wire’s 32-22 win over Toronto Wolfpack, pulled up in the second half and had to be helped down the tunnel.
In his post-match press conference, head coach Steve Price did not sound optimistic when talking about the injury.
“It’s a hamstring strain, you could say,” he said.
“It looks like a decent one, which is unfortunate because he’s had a really good start to the season.
“He didn’t play last week so we’ll look into that.”
Buzzing to get over for my first try in @WarringtonRLFC colours , good win from the boys and the fans were class!! Gutted to go off with an injury but will be doing everything to make sure I’m back in no time🐺💪🏻
