MORE than 150 tickets have been sold for Widnes Vikings’ kit launch event at the Halton Stadium on Tuesday, 19 November, 7pm.

As part of the Early Bird Benefits scheme, the club are giving those who pledged their support before the Early Bird deadline the opportunity to be the first to see next year’s playing kits.

There will be pop-up stalls selling both home and away shirts on the night.

And as part of the package for supporters who purchased during the Early Bird period, there is an opportunity for supporters to be a part of the event.

This will involve modelling and launching the 2020 kits on the night alongside members of our first team squad.

The club will be randomly selecting four supporters, one from each age category, in the coming days and contacting said winners.

There will also be the chance to redeem your £5 voucher to use against the purchase of a home or away shirt on the night too, another brilliant benefit of being an Early Bird Season Ticket holder.

These vouchers can be used on the night or saved for use before the expiry date of the 31 March 2020, with only one voucher awarded per person and only one voucher can be used per shirt purchased.

Supporters can secure your place by visiting the Club Shop at Widnes Market.

Vikings have announced a new Kit Partnership with Oxen Sports ahead of the 2020 Betfred Championship season.

This news will see the Vikings continue to work alongside Elite Pro Sports, a partnership that has gone from strength to strength since the arrival of the new Board of Directors.

Chris Price, Chairman of Widnes Vikings, added: “We’re delighted to announce our new partnership with Oxen Sports and extend our relationship with Elite Pro Sports into 2020 and beyond.

“We’re looking forward to seeing both ranges proudly worn by our supporters on the terraces and throughout the town.”

Meanwhile it has been announced that Wakefield Trinity have signed loose forward Brad Walker from Widnes Vikings on a two-year contract.

The 21-year-old will, however, be loaned out to League One side Newcastle Thunder during the 2020 season.

Walker made 40 appearances for the Vikings.

“I’ve always wanted to play Super League and it’s been my aspiration since I was a young kid,” he said.

Meanwhile, the full fixture list for Betfred Championship and League 1 in 2020, including round date, as well as the format for the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup, will be published on Sunday November 17 at 3pm.
