WIDNES Vikings are going to Wembley for the first time since 1993.
They won a bruising game at Leigh to book their place in the inaugural 1895 Cup Final, which takes place after the Challenge Cup showpiece between St Helens and Warrington.
They will now play Sheffield Eagles in the final.
Widnes survived several late scares to preserve their 12-8 lead but when the final hooter sounded, it was joy unbounded for their players, coaching staff and fans.
It is a huge win for the club after an awful start to the season off the pitch - and should give them something of a much needed financial tonic.
