Some of the three to six-year-olds who competed in the Matt Fiddes Martial Arts Northern Championships in Penrith
A RECORD medal haul was achieved by students from the Widnes branch in the annual Matt Fiddes Martial Arts Northern Championships in Penrith.
Among the highlights was Amy Dobie winning her first gold medal after five tournaments, her success coming in sparring.
Steve James, chief instructor and championship organiser, said: “I am so proud of all the students."
Competitors: Harry Rose, Dylan Smith, Jack Conroy, Jacob Sidwell, Sam Ross, Amy Dobie, Kaela Kennedy, Harvey Evans, Leah Evans, Jessica Ross, James Dyas and Owen Creswell.
