SPICE Girl Mel C has shown her support for her hometown Widnes Vikings in their hour of need.
She has tweeted the appeal to join VIQI to her 613,000 Twitter followers.
Former skipper Kurt Sorensen also sent his support from 12,000 miles away - pledging to do what he can to save his former club.
Vikings should find out today whether the club, which was placed into administration, has been bought and the liquidation threat is staved off.
If they get a buyer today then Sunday's game at home to Featherstone will go ahead.
Sad to hear of the financial troubles @Widnesrl Growing up in Widnes ‘The Chemics’ were the champions and have always played a big part in the local community. Join me in supporting themhttps://t.co/vvStpaCMP3
