ALL those concerned about Widnes Vikings are waiting anxiously to see if the club has been rescued.
The club went into administration last Friday and faces going into liquidation if a buyer does not come forward.
While this is happening the fans, staff and players past and present, have rallied round.
A donation of £6,000 from WISSL has seen the fundraising initiatives into Vikings Quids In surpass £100,000 mark with more than1100 Memberships also reached for VIQI.
Since Vikings entered into administration VIQI, led by Jason and Joanna Shaw kick-started an unbelievable response of fundraising since Saturday afternoon.
This £100,000 plus figure is made of a combination of sources, including the GoFundMe page.
The club’s fundraising evening on Monday raised £17,000 and social media auctions, along with the high number of donations and collections supporters have donated have helped to generate this money.
