KATE Connally led the way for Warrington Hockey Club’s women’s first team as they romped to a convincing victory.
They travelled to face Knutsford’s firsts and came away with a handsome 4-0 victory, with Connally scoring twice.
Debbie Kinsey and player of the match Meg Sutch grabbed a goal each, while Nat Lyons, Holly McCurrie and Kirsty Anderson defended solidly to keep a clean sheet.
As a result, Warrington rise to fourth place in the Cheshire Women’s Hockey League Division Two.
Unfortunately, the women’s seconds were not as successful as they fell to a heavy home defeat to their Winnington Park counterparts.
Molly Rudd picked up Warrington’s player of the match award, but her side went down to a 6-0 defeat.
