A MARTIAL artist from Widnes was among the placings at an international event.
Sam Ross was on the podium at the annual Matt Fiddes Martial Arts Schools International Championships in Swindon after competing alongside more than 500 competitors from England, Scotland and Australia.
Sam achieved third place in individual forms.
Other students taking part were Lucy Arnold, Anna Mai Larkin, Luke Baguley, Cath Baguley, Nathan Heywood, Amy Dobie, Emma Garth, Sam Arnold, Harry Arnold, Charlotte Geoghegan, Zack Rutter, Cody Rutter and Rachel Williams.
Chief instructor Steve James said: “The team have been working hard with the students to get them to be the best they can be and I am so proud of all who took part."
