HALTON swimmer Luke Nisted will represent Great Britain in the World Deaf Swimming Championships in San Antonio, Texas, USA this August.
The Halton Swim Club 18-year-old started competitive swimming at the age of 12 and is a very experienced International having competed at World Championships in Portugal in 2011, Deaflympics in Bulgaria in 2013 and European Championships in Russia last year.
He currently trains with the Prescot open swim squad and is hoping that this will help him achieve as many personal best times as possible in Texas where he will celebrate his 19th birthday
Luke currently holds 6 GB age group records, mostly in his favoured Backstroke events.
