FOUR Halton swimmers have been invited to compete in National Competition at Sheffield Ponds Forge ISC this summer.
Matthew Sayle and Will Woodward have qualified for the inaugural British Summer National Championships whilst Matthew, Will, Daniel Buckley and Thomas Roberts have achieved invitations to the ASA National Championships, effectively the English Championships.
Thomas is also competing in the British Open Water Championships at Rother Valley.
The Boys, who between them have qualified for 20 National Events, are pictured looking in fine form and good spirits before heading off to Sheffield having been presented with their commemorative Club kit by Chairman, Ste Donald.
To be invited to the British Championships you have to be currently ranked in the top 24 in Britain in your age group for an event.
Matthew has received invitations to 4 events and Will 1 invitation.
Individually, Will is currently ranked 9th 13 Year Old in Britain for 50m Breaststroke, whilst Matthew is ranked 10th 15 Year Old for 100m Backstroke.
To be invited to the ASA National Championships you have to be currently ranked in the top 20 in England in your age group for an event and have not received an invite for that event at the British Championships.
Will has received invitations to 8 events, Matthew 1, Daniel 4 and Thomas 1. Daniel is ranked 6th 13 Year old for 100m Breaststroke in England and 8th for 50m Breaststroke.
