A NUMBER of residents across the north west have reported feeling an 'earthquake' this afternoon.
Social media has been flooded with reports of homes shaking and furniture moving.
According to the Last Quake website, a quake rating 4.4 struck south Wales at 2.30pm this afternoon, Saturday.
But tremors have been reported in areas including Liverpool, Wirral, Warrington and Northwich.
Just in: Event epicentre approx 20km NNE of Swansea, with 4.4 magnitude at a depth of 7.4km. Events of this magnitude only happen in the UK every 2-3 years.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre have had 4,000 reports so far and estimate it affected 10million people.
