THE manager of a £50 million Runcorn waterside development has won a prestigious housing award.

Paul Morris, who looks after The Deck block apartments in Mersey Road, has been awarded a Pride in the Job quality award from the National Housebuilding Council.

The accolade recognises his commitment to managing the site to an exceptional standard.

Paul, aged 55, of West Derby, Liverpool, said: “I’m over the moon.

“The award is a testament to the continued hard work and dedication of the whole team at The Deck, an essential ingredient of our success.

“We take genuine pride in the homes that we build so it’s satisfying to be recognised and rewarded by those within the industry.”

Paul works for Taylor Wimpey north west.

The Pride in the Job awards are presented following stringent judging by NHBC inspectors, who perform spot checks on developments throughout the year.

They also give homebuyers assurance that the development provides top qualityi homes and excellent customer care.

Ten separate blocks, named ‘locks’, are being built on a former shipyard beside the Manchester Ship Canal.
