The Prodigy will return to Creamfields in 2027.
The legendary electronic act has been announced as the first headliner for the Daresbury festival’s 30th anniversary edition, which will take place over the August bank holiday weekend.
The Prodigy will perform on the APEX stage on Saturday, August 28, marking their first appearance at the festival in 14 years.
Creamfields organisers said: "Cream HQ isn’t wasting any time getting the celebrations started, revealing its first headliner for the landmark 2027 edition – The Prodigy."
The Prodigy, made up of Liam and Maxim, have spent 35 years touring the world with their high-energy live shows.
They are joined on stage by long-time members Leo Crabtree on drums and Rob Holliday on guitar.
The band is known for their powerful performances, combining intense visuals and bass with their trademark raw energy.
Emerging from the UK’s early rave scene, The Prodigy broke through to mainstream success by blending rave, electronic, and punk styles.
They are best known for hits such as Firestarter, Breathe, and Out of Space, as well as their multi-platinum album The Fat of the Land.
The 2027 festival will also mark the 30th anniversary of that album.
Creamfields began in Winchester in 1998 and has since grown into one of the world’s leading electronic music festivals.
It now attracts crowds of 80,000 and features some of the biggest names in the industry.
Organisers said the 2027 edition will celebrate three decades of music, fans, and unforgettable moments, while also looking ahead to the future of electronic music.
The Prodigy’s return to Creamfields is expected to be one of the highlights of the anniversary weekend.
Their last appearance at the festival was in 2013.
They will headline the APEX stage, one of the world’s biggest indoor festival stages.
