A FIRE crew rushed to the scene of a grass fire in Runcorn.

One fire engine from Runcorn was deployed to the scene of a blaze on Roehampton Drive yesterday, Monday.

At around 3.54pm, firefighters arrived to find an area of grass on fire.

It measured approximately 20 metres by five metres.

A hose reel jet and beaters were used to extinguish the blaze.
