A MAN has been charged by the police with having a ‘dangerously out of control dog’.
The suspect is due to face charges before magistrates following an incident in Widnes earlier this year.
Kyle Anderson, of Kenneth Road in Widnes, has been charged with being the owner or person in charge of a dangerously out of control dog.
The 24-year-old has also been charged with failing to comply with a community protection notice.
The particulars of the dog charge allege that he was the owner in charge of Osiris, a Turkish Kangal dog, which was dangerously out of control in a public place.
It is alleged that this occurred on Kenneth Road on April 23 this year. No injury was caused during the alleged incident, according to the charge.
The second charge alleges that, on the same day in Widnes, he failed to comply with a community protection notice issued to him.
It is alleged that he did so by having a dog under his control that was not on a lead or muzzled when in a public place.
Anderson is due to make a first appearance in connection with the allegations before Warrington Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday.
