A FAMILY-run nursery built on more than 20 years worth of experience has opened in Runcorn.
Situated on East Lane in Palacefields, World Of Wonder Day Nursery has officially opened its doors marking an 'exciting new chapter'.
The building was formerly home to World of Wonder Playtime, a popular children’s role play village owned by Tracey Jenkins and her family.
However, the family has now transformed their former business into a beautiful nursery for early years children to enjoy.
Nursery manager, Rosie, who has more than 14 years of experience in early years education said: "I am so excited to be leading our team here in the heart of Runcorn.
"Having lived and worked in the area for so long, it means a lot to be part of something so special within our community. We wanted to create a home-like environment where children feel safe, free to explore and inspired every day.”
Rosie will be joined by a team who collectively have more than 20 years worth of experience 'owning and running a successful group of children's day nurseries'.
Reflecting on their time running World of Wonder Playtime, owner Tracey said: "During this time, we had the opportunity to reconnect with local families, strengthen our place within the community and rediscover what we love most about early years.
"Being surrounded by imaginative play and meaningful interactions reminded us just how much purpose and fulfilment we find in supporting young children and their families. It reaffirmed what we had always known—childcare is where our passion truly lies.
"World of Wonder Day Nursery marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter—one inspired by our experience, refreshed by our time at Playtime and driven by a renewed commitment to giving children the very best start in life."
Referring to the nursery's name 'World of Wonder', the owner added that the title reflects the beliefs of the setting that 'childhood should be filled with curiosity, imagination and discovery'.
"We want every child who walks through our doors to experience a sense of awe in their everyday learning, in an environment that encourages them to explore freely and confidently," Ms Jenkins added.
The nursery space has been fully renovated prior to opening following the closure of the role play centre and each room has been 'thoughtfully designed'.
Emphasising the importance of building strong relationships with the families of the children who are to attend the setting, deputy manager, Jodie O'Leary said: "We aim to create a setting that reflects the individual needs of each child and their family, ensuring parents feel confident, supported and truly part of our community."
Jodie has 17 years worth of childcare experience and holds a Level 3 qualification as well as being SENCo trained.
"As the SEND Lead, I am dedicated to supporting every child’s individual needs and development," Jodie added.
She is also the nursery's physical activity coordinator, delivering activities such as yoga, music, dance and outdoor play to support children’s wellbeing and development.
Meanwhile team member Chloe Hughes is a level two practitioner currently working towards her level three qualification.
"As we continue to grow, we are excited to be expanding our team with passionate individuals who genuinely care about supporting children and their families," Tracey said.
"Together, our team shares strong family values and a commitment to providing high-quality early years education and care. We are proud to be building a supportive, nurturing team culture that children and families can rely on every day."
World Of Wonder Day Nursery is now accepting registrations and welcomes visits from families who would like to learn more about what they offer.
