Much-loved Runcorn Shopping City Poundland worker Pat retires

CUSTOMERS have been sending their best wishes to a much-loved shop worker in Runcorn.

Pat Wise has worked in the Poundland store in Runcorn Shopping City for 24 ‘amazing’ years.

However, she has decided that now is the time to retire, sparking hundreds of kind words from shoppers.

Paying tribute, Runcorn Shopping City said: “After 24 amazing years, Pat has decided it is finally time to lock up her Poundland till for the very last time.

“No more early shifts, no more counting change – just plenty of relaxing, and maybe the occasional Poundland visit as a customer instead.

“Good luck in your retirement Pat. You will be greatly missed by all of us, love shopping management and the security and cleaning teams.”

Many customers shared their best wishes to Pat via the Runcorn Shopping City Facebook page.

One said: “I have been served by this lady many, many times, and she is the gold in that store.

“She is always happy and friendly, and her customer service is excellent.

“She will be missed. Enjoy your retirement Pat. If anyone deserves it, you do.”

Thanking everyone for their kind words, Pat said: “A massive thank you to everyone who made my final day so special.

“Thank you all for your lovely messages, cards, presents, and kind words. It has been a very emotional day.

“It is much appreciated. Love to you all.”
