The Little Gym Widnes invites families to fun-filled day

The Little Gym in Widnes is hosting a free Family Fun Day on Sunday, March 1, from 1pm to 5pm to give children and parents a taste of its popular play and learning environment.

The event will be held at The Hive Leisure Park on Earle Road and promises a packed programme of entertainment, games, and interactive sessions for children of all ages.

A spokesman for The Little Gym said: "The Free Family Fun Day is The Little Gym Widnes' way of giving back to the community - offering free sessions and creating a fun-filled day where children can simply enjoy being active, social and playful.

"Whether you're already a member or looking for a fresh extracurricular activity for your child, this is a perfect opportunity to come along and see what the excitement is all about."

The afternoon will feature free gym and learning classes, face painting, market stalls, competitions, special offers, food and drink, and goody bags for children.

Children will have the chance to join in age-tailored sessions throughout the day, including:

1pm to 2pm: Flips and twisters (ages 6–11)
2pm to 3pm: Pre Keystage (ages 3–5)
3pm to 3.45pm: Parent and child (4–18 months)
3.45pm to 4.30pm: Parent and child (18 months to 3 years)

The Little Gym is designed for children up to 12 years of age, offering a range of extracurricular classes that help develop core strength, agility, coordination and physical confidence, while also supporting important social skills such as teamwork, listening, sharing and building friendships.

Since opening in Widnes, The Little Gym has grown to 400 members in just 18 months, making it the fastest-growing children’s gym in the North West.

The brand originated in the United States in 1976 and has since grown internationally with tens of thousands of members worldwide.

The Widnes centre was founded by Joanne, who discovered The Little Gym while living in Dubai and saw the positive impact it had on her children’s confidence and development.
