A HUGE emergency service presence rushed to save a dog that was stuck in the mud.
Firefighters were called to the scene near Fiddlers Ferry at around 7.55pm last night, Monday.
On arrival, crews discovered that a French bulldog was stuck in mud on the side of the Mersey.
The dog was brought to safety by crews after they made an inflatable path and used a short ladder to get to it.
A large firefighter presence was at the scene.
Namely a boat rescue unit from Warrington, a rope rescue unit from Lymm, and fire engines from Warrington, Lymm, Birchwood, Penketh and Powey Lane.
