POLICE are appealing for anyone with information to come forward after a young girl was bitten by a dog.
The incident occurred at around 4.30pm on Tuesday in Phoenix Park in Runcorn.
Cheshire Police says it received reports that a 10-year-old girl was bitten by a dog which was on a lead.
It is looking for people who witnessed the incident to make contact.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “Police are appealing for information following a dog bite in Phoenix Park, Runcorn.
“At around 4.30pm on Tuesday, July 2, police received reports that a 10-year-old girl was bitten by a dog which was on a lead.
“The dog was described as being large, light grey with a white stomach.”
