A TRADER at Widnes Market has sadly confirmed that it is closing for good.

Tillys Emporium is a family-run business at the Bradley Way site, selling garden and home ornaments and decor, as well as home fragrance, candles, bath bombs, diffusers and ‘many, many unusual gifts’.

It has been based at the market for seven years, but it confirmed the decision to close its stall in a social media post to its valued customers.

The post reads: “We regret to inform you that our market stall will be permanently closing by June 30.

“This decision was not made lightly, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you who have supported us over the last seven years.

“As we approach our closing date, we invite you to visit us to take advantage of the final opportunities to purchase your favourite products.

“Your support and custom has meant the world to us, and we are grateful for the relationships and community we have built.

“If you would still like to continue purchasing our products, you can contact us on Facebook, where some of our latest items will be displayed, or you can pick up business cards from the stall over the next few weeks.

“Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”

The news was met with sadness by customers, with one commenting: “Nooo, this makes me so sad.

“I have bought many gifts from you which have made gorgeous presents to my friends and family, and I love my wax burners that I have purchased.

“I wish you both lots of luck and will miss you lots.”

Another wrote: “Sorry to hear this. I always look on your stall first before looking for any gifts as you have some of the nicest ornaments.”
