A WOMAN was arrested on suspicion of failure to provide a breath specimen following a two-car crash in Widnes.
Police officers attended the scene after reports of a collision on Dundalk Road at around 10pm yesterday, Tuesday.
On arrival officers found there had been a crash involving a black Ford Puma and a blue Ford Focus in which one car had landed on its roof.
Cheshire Fire Service also attended the incident and firefighters assisted in rescuing a casualty who was trapped in one of the vehicles.
And paramedics were also on hand to provide first aid to those involved.
The driver of the puma, a 40-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of failing to provide a breath specimen.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police added: "She was taken to Aintree Hospital as a precaution and subsequently released pending further enquiries.
"The driver of the Focus was uninjured."
