TWO bikes were stolen from teenagers who were threatened with a knife by suspects wearing balaclavas.

On Monday, two teenagers were cycling along Lytham Road in Widnes between 2.30pm and 2.45pm.

They reported that they were approached by two suspects, who demanded the teens hand over their bikes and made threats towards them, showing them a knife in the process.

One of the teenagers was also assaulted during the incident.

The suspects rode away on the two stolen bicycles towards the bridge over Watkinson Way.

They were described as white men wearing black clothing and balaclavas and spoke with an accent.
