A MAN from Ellesmere Port is one of eight people to have been charged after a  drug raids.

On Tuesday, April 30 officers from Chester Police carried out drug warrants at six addresses in Lache, Blacon, and Saltney in Chester.

Officers from Chester Proactive Policing Unit who were investigating the supply of illegal drugs in Chester charged seven people following a series of raids in the city.

Six men and two women were arrested during the raids on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

Seven of them have since been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs (cocaine and MDMA) and one count of count of conspiracy to supply class B drugs (ketamine).

Jamie Lee Kelly, aged 37, of Whitemere Court, Ellesmere Port is among those who have been charged.

Kai Bradley, aged 20, of Stratford Road, Chester, Jordan Cook, aged 20, of Sycamore Drive, Chester, Lucy Pagett, aged 33, of Englefield Avenue, Saltney, James Phelan, aged 20, of no fixed abode and Ryan Paul Yates, aged 33, of Roughlyn Crescent, Marslton-cum-Lache, Chester, and Edward Chadwick, aged 28, of Oakfield Road, Chester were also charged.

Yates has also been charged with being concerned with the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition of the importation of a class B drug (cannabis).

The eight defendant, Sian Elisha Tomlin, aged 33, of Stamford Road, Chester, was charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine) and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (cocaine).

Seven of the defendants appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, May 1. They will next appear at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday, May 29.

Edward Chadwick will appear at Chester Magistrates' Court on Thursday, May 2.
