THROUGHOUT May, Wirral residents can catch up on their missed vaccinations.

Popping up in locations across the borough each week, the Living Well Service will be offering all routine vaccinations, including MMR (which vaccinates against measles, mumps and rubella) to adults and children in Wirral.

The service offers health checks and wider wellbeing guidance at the heart of communities as well as providing Spring COVID-19 immunisations to eligible people.

The Living Well Service, which provides ‘drop in’ health clinics by bus, is built on the principles of bringing the right services to local communities and helping reduce barriers to accessing care.

With no appointments necessary, the service’s clinical team will also offer physical health checks and mental health support, alongside vaccinations. 

Residents can access the Living Well bus at any of the following pop ups:

  • Wednesday 1st May - Cherry Tree Centre (car park), 6-8 Cherry Square, Liscard, Wallasey CH44 5XU from 10.30am-4pm.
  • Friday 3rd May - Seacombe Family Hub, St Paul’s Road, Wallasey, CH44 7AN from 10.30am-4pm.
  • Monday 6th May - ASDA, Woodchurch Road, Woodchurch, Birkenhead, CH49 5PD from 10.30am-4pm.
  • Saturday 18th May - Birkenhead town centre, between ASDA and Primark, Grange Road from 10.30am-4pm.
  • Wednesday 22nd May - Wirral Change, St Laurence's School, St Laurence Drive, Birkenhead, CH41 3JD from 10am-4pm (vaccinations only, not health checks on this date).

Walk-in MMR vaccines in community pharmacies

Townfield Pharmacy in Birkenhead offering walk-in vaccines to children aged 5 to 11 who missed earlier doses of MMR, as part of a regional scheme. GP practices will also be able to refer patients for MMR vaccination in a pharmacy.
