LANE closures are set to be put in place on the Mersey Gateway Bridge due to maintenance work.
Work is scheduled to be carried out tonight on the northbound side of the bridge between Runcorn and Widnes.
Mersey Gateway have confirmed on X that lane closures will be in place on lane one and two between 8pm and 5am while maintenance work begins.
Traffic during that time will be diverted to use the Silver Jubilee Bridge.
A spokesperson for Mersey Gateway said: "Maintenance works are programmed to take place tonight on the northbound Mersey Gateway Bridge (Runcorn - Widnes) Bridgewater on-slip and lanes 1 and 2 on the Bridge will be closed between 20:00 and 05:00. Traffic will be diverted to Silver Jubilee Bridge."
