Halton residents go to the polls in a few weeks to cast their votes in three local elections.
Local government elections take place on Thursday, May 2, where residents will choose their local councillors. But votes will also be cast to select the Metro Mayor for the Liverpool City Region as well as the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire.
The borough is in the unique position of being the only member council of the Liverpool City Region (LCR) which is in Cheshire, so will vote in a different crime commissioner election to the other five councils in the LCR.
In the council elections, a total of 18 seats will be up for grabs – a third of all seats in Halton.
Labour, Liberal Democrat, Conservative, Reform UK, Liberal Party, Green Party and Independent candidates will all be vying for votes.
