A YOUNG child has been seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash involving an e-scooter in a Widnes park.
Between 6.10pm and 6.20pm yesterday, Monday, a five-year-old girl and her mother were walking along a footpath in Victoria Park.
While doing so, the child was hit by an e-scooter, with the rider not stopping and leaving the scene.
The girl suffered a serious injury to her leg and was taken to hospital.
Cheshire Police has confirmed that officers are investigating the incident, and it is appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
The rider is described as being a white male, aged approximately 15 years old with blond, messy long hair.
He was of stocky build and was wearing an orange t-shirt and tracksuit pants, riding a black electric scooter.
