A FIRE was started ‘deliberately’ in a disused building in Runcorn.
Fire crews were dispatched from Runcorn to the blaze on Stockham Lane at approximately 5.59pm yesterday evening, Thursday.
Cheshire Fire Service confirmed a horse reel jet was used to extinguish the flames and dampen down the area showing signs of heat from a thermal imaging camera.
A spokesperson added: “The fire is suspected to have been started deliberately and police were on scene.”
Cheshire Police have been contacted for comment.
