FIREFIGHTERS are currently taking a blaze in an disused building in Runcorn.
Crews were called to the incident on Stockham Lane at around 5.35pm this evening, Wednesday.
Emergency services, including police and fire, are currently at the scene.
There is one fire engine from Widnes present, as well as one from Penketh, and Runcorn.
A water bowser from Ellesmere Port is also at the scene.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus are using a main jet and reels to tackle the fire.
Residents are being asked to keep their doors and windows closed due to the amount of smoke from the fire.
Members of the public are also being told to avoid the area.
