POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in relation to reports of a woman being sexually assaulted.
At around 3.45am on Sunday, January 28, police received reports of an incident in Runcorn Old Town, near the junction of Leiria Way and High Street.
It was reported a woman had been sexually assaulted by an unknown man.
The man is described as having dark hair, wearing a dark-coloured jumper, of an average build and speaking with an Irish accent.
Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident and as part of their investigation, more than a month on, Cheshire Police has now released CCTV images of a man officers would like to speak to.
DC Nathaniel Walkowiak said: “If anyone recognises the man pictured, please get in touch with us as we believe he may hold vital information.
“We would also like to appeal directly to the man pictured to contact us.
“The same goes for anyone with any dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident, or anyone who witnessed what happened.”
