POLICE have launched a missing person appeal in the hope that members of the public may recognise him.

Merseyside Police is appealing for help in finding James McConnell, who the force says has links to Runcorn and Widnes.

The 34-year-old is missing from his home in Liverpool, and he was last seen on Altcross Road in Croxteth at around 6.35pm last night, Monday.

James is described as being a white male, 5ft 8in tall, of stocky build, with dark hair, green-brown eyes and a beard.

When last seen, he was wearing blue pants, a blue top, black puffer coat and Nike 110s trainers.

As well as Runcorn and Widnes, James is known to frequent Whiston, Stockbridge Village, Croxteth, Norris Green and Kirkby.

Anyone who has seen James or anyone matching his description is asked to call Merseyside Police on 101 or 999, or direct message @MerPolCC on X, formerly Twitter.
