A POLICE car was involved in a crash on a main road in Widnes this afternoon, Friday.
The Cheshire Police car was caught up in a three-vehicle collision on Kingsway, at the junction with Leigh Avenue, shortly after 1.30pm.
The force has confirmed that the officer involved was taken to hospital as a precaution, but no other people were thought to have been injured.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 1.36pm on Friday, February 23, a police car was involved in a three-vehicle collision on Kingsway in Widnes.
“The officer was taken to hospital as a precaution.
“No one else is thought to have been injured or required hospital treatment.”
