A WOMAN suffered serious injuries after falling from a bridge in Widnes.
Emergency services, including Cheshire Police and North West Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene on Halton View Road.
The incident occurred on Monday evening, shortly before 7.30pm, with the woman involved still recovering in hospital.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police: “At 7.24pm on Monday 12 February, police were called to reports of a woman on the wrong side of the bridge on Halton View Road in Widnes.
“Officers swiftly arrived at the scene, but some time later she fell from the bridge.
“The woman, believed to be in her 30s, sustained a serious leg injury from the impact of the fall and remains in hospital receiving treatment.”
