POLICE say they are cracking down on vehicles being abandoned at an industrial estate in Widnes.

Residents have reported to Cheshire Police that new vehicles seem to be dumped at Golden Triangle Industrial Estate every week.

There have also been reports of fly-tipping in the area, which officers say is ‘disgraceful’.

Work is underway to resolve the issue, according to Cheshire Police.

PCSO Ste Marnick, of the force’s Ditton and Hale Police team, said: “We are trying to deal with seemingly abandoned vehicles outside of Golden Triangle Industrial Estate.

“This disgraceful fly-tipping behaviour just adds to the situation, making a bad situation worse.”
