RUNNERS in Runcorn will be completing a monumental 24-hour challenge to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s mental health.

Silverbacks Running Club will be completing the charity run for Mind Halton on January 27.

At least one member will be continuously running on the track for 24 hours to show their commitment to supporting men’s mental health.

The club was set up by five like-minded individuals from Runcorn who shared a passion for running and its power to enhance men’s wellbeing.

It now welcomes more than 25 men on each of their runs.

Michael Rhodes, a member of Silverbacks Running Club, said: “I thought about this challenge as it was a great way to start the year.

“This challenge will raise much-needed funds for a charity close to many of the running club members’ hearts.”

Silverbacks are inviting members of the community to join them in showing support at the Heath Offices in Runcorn by running laps alongside a minimum donation of £5.

This will go towards runners’ mental strength and the invaluable work of Mind Halton in carrying out essential mental health services.

The club firmly believes running promotes personal growth and mental resilience.
